Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D.

At the base of Michael Civin, Ph.D.’s career is an impressive education, beginning with the degree he received from Harvard in 1968. He also attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine between 1968 and 1969 before earning his first Master of Arts degree in 1970 from the University of Oregon. One was not enough, of course, so he earned a second M.A., in Clinical Psychology from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University in 1986. He earned his Ph.D. from Adelphi in 1988.

Besides his own education, Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D. Has also had a hand in the education of a number of others, having spent time as a professor, faculty member and an associate professor with several universities and other institutions of higher learning. His writing has been published in many journals and as many book chapters. He was a co-founder of Rose Hill Psychological Services in 2007, and he still serves there as a senior psychologist.

It is so important in life to find a career you can be passionate about. For one to go into a field that they do not care about would be a life wasted. For Dr. Michael Civin, he knew he wanted to help people. From a young age, he felt passionate about helping people and knew that no matter what he chose to do with his life, he wanted to make sure that he was helping those in need. Dr. Michael Civin discovered the field of psychology and found that this was a field that was aimed entirely at helping people to better themselves and the relationships around them.

The success of an individual in the field of psychology is not always centered on helping people as there are many different avenues within this field that one can pursue. But to thrive in the field of psychology, one must be passionate about helping people better understand the human psyche and in turn understand their own psyche better. Dr. Michael Civin is a doctor that has always taken great pleasure in being able to help people. While working at his psychology practice, he is able to see all kinds of patients with a wide variety of issues that psychology can help with. Dr. Michael A. Civin, Ph.D., a clinical psychology in New York City, has been a veritable fixture in that city’s psychological services industry for most of his career, which has now stretched to more than a quarter century. Dr. Civin continues to accept and treat new and long-time patients at all locations in New York, including Rose Hill Psychological Services, which he helped found in 2007. He continues to treat patients there as a senior psychologist, even as he serves patients in private practice in offices in the Astoria, Manhattan, and Bayville areas of New York City.
